Welcome to Therapy Without Walls

At Therapy Without Walls, we provide Trauma-Informed, Person-Centered and Recovery-Oriented Services to our consumers. We use the strength of the individual to promote healing and change while building skills and resources to reinforce a healthier lifestyle.

We create a collaborative atmosphere with treatment planning which focuses on achieving the goals set with the consumer, while continuing to assess change throughout treatment and adjust our strategies if needed to meet the needs of the consumer. Valuing the input of the consumer, working with them in every phase of treatment and focusing on where the consumer would like to be in their recovery is important to both us and the consumer.

    Individual Therapy

One-on-one strength-based, person-centered psychotherapy using different evidenced-based modalities including but not limited to: Motivational Interviewing (MI) – MI is a psychotherapeutic approach that attempts to move an individual away from a state of indecision or uncertainty and towards finding motivation to making positive decisions and accomplishing established goals. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – CBT is a structured, present-oriented psychotherapy directed toward solving current problems and teaching consumers skills to modify dysfunctional thinking and behavior. Play Therapy – A form of psychotherapy in which play is used as a means of helping children express or communicate their feelings in verbal and non-verbal ways.

Art Therapy – A form of psychotherapy involving the encouragement of free self-expression through painting, drawing or modeling, used as a remedial activity or an aid in diagnosis.

Sensory Integration Therapy – This type of therapy aims to help kids with sensory processing issues (which some may refer to as “sensory integration disorder”) by exposing them to sensory stimulation in a structured, repetitive way. The theory behind it is that over time, the brain will adapt and allow kids to process and react to sensations more efficiently.

Other Modalities Offered Include: Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy DBT, Rational Behavioral Therapy (RBT), Exposure Therapy and other evidence-based treatment modalities.
